Fitness Class: A MATTER OF BALANCE - Spring 2024
Corewell Health: Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
You will learn to: ~ View falls as controllable ~ Set goals for increasing activity ~ Make changes to reduce fall risks at home ~ Exercise to increase strength and balance
Who should attend? ~ Anyone concerned about falls ~ Anyone interested in imporving balance, flexibility,and strength ~ Anyone who has fallen in the past ~ Anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns
Dates: Thursdays, April 11 - May 30* Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm Location: Neighborhood Club Board Room, Second Floor *April 11 & May 2 class will be in the Community Room, First Floor Cost: Free to the public Instructor: Sunny Participants are expected to attend at least 6 - 8 sessions of this 8 week program. Max. 15, Min. of 5 participants.
