Introduction to Dog Obedience - Summer 2025
This class is offered for all dogs who are at least 5 months old.  Learn how to train your dog using positive reinforcement training to walk on a loose leash, come when called, sit, stay and lie down on command, along with working on behavior modification (house breaking, crate training, jumping, chewing, etc.)  Shot records must be presented on the first night of class. (Rabies DHLPP, Bordetella). Minors over the age of 12 are invited to train as long as a parent or guardian is registered for the class and remains in attendance.

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE BRING YOUR DOG TO THE FIRST CLASS,
Equipment you will need:  six-foot leather or nylon lead (NO retractable leashes) and a training collar, treats, treat pouch and clean up supplies.

Wednesdays:  June 18 - July 30 - NO CLASS July 2
Time:               7:00 - 8:00 pm

~  How to think and be pro-active
~  What do do if you are attacked (using various scenarios)

Puppy Pre-School - WINTER SPRING 2025
Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club offers this class for all puppies who are 3-5 months of age.  Socialization, introduction to obedience, grooming and problem solving are offered.  Bring your puppy and shot records to the first night of class, as well as a six-foot leather lead and an appropriately sized buckle collar or harness.
Minors over the age of 12 are invited to train as long as a parent or guardian is registered  and remains in attendance.

All levels welcome.  This is an aerobic exercise class for the busy, fitness-minded adult interested in developing back, chest, shoulders, abdomen and legs using state of the art Concept ll Indoor Rowing Ergometers.  Coaches from Friends of Detroit Rowing will run workouts.
                  
Rowing for Tu/Thu/Sat  AM is open for registration - all other classes will open on December 1, 2024.

Indoor Rowing - All levels welcome! No Recreation and Wellness Center membership required to register for indoor rowing.
