Art.
Art presents children with problems that can be solved in an infinite number of correct ways. The freedom, curiosity and sense of adventure with which young children approach art is very difficult to relearn once it has been squelched. The value and impact of early childhood art is not a frill, but the very foundation upon which all later reading and writing are built.
In the art area, children learn about colors and textures; from smooth finger paints to rough sand paper painting.
They learn to successfully manipulate markers, paint brushes and crayons.
Children become aware of many different and creative things that can be done in the art area.
